Ashton Kapphahn (Bertha-Hewitt Volleyball)
By Kyle Gylsen - Bertha
The SportsCow.com Female Athlete of the Week is Ashton Kapphahn of the Bertha-Hewitt volleyball team.
Kapphahn, a senior setter for the Bears, achieved a major milestone recently when she recorded the 2,000th set assist in her career.
She becomes just the second player in the history of the Bertha-Hewitt volleyball program to reach that plateau. Trista Kneisl holds the Bears' school record in that category.
"Ashton is a pleasure to have on our team," said Bertha-Hewitt head coach Janelle Bright. "She has great knowledge of the game and is a very talented player. To attain 2,000 set assists, she puts the ball on a platter for her hitters. She is very deserving of this honor."
