Hailey Jorgenson did all of her damage in the first half, making five three-point shots, and helped lead Detroit Lakes to a 57-35 Mid-State Conference victory over Wadena-Deer Creek Tuesday night.
Jorgenson was joined by teammate Shay Nielsen with a game-high 15 points apiece for the Lakers. Nielsen also started quicky, getting 11 of her points by the break.
Rylie Langer and Jennifer Craig each netted nine for the Wolverines. Katie Peterson added seven points.
Detroit Lakes shot 47 percent overall (24-51) and from three-point range (7-15). W-DC was 13-of 41 (23%) overall, but did make nearly half of its three-point attempts (5-12).
