By Kyle Gylsen/Craig Olson - Menahga

Otter Tail Central survived the battle of the unbeatens Friday night with a 45-7 victory over United North Central in Menahga.

The Bulldogs scored on their opening possession on a 21-yard run by Andrew VanErp and Tony Ukkelberg kicked his first of six extra-points.

UNC came right back to tie the score at 7-7 on a three-yard run by Kirby Hrdlicka, followed by the PAT.

It would be the only successful drive for the Warriors as OTC would score the next 38 unanswered points.

Eric VanErp scored next for the Bulldogs on a 16-yard pass from Ukkelberg.  The extra-point made the score 14-7.

In the second quarter, Wes Olson scored on a two-yard run, Ukkelberg scored on a 22-yard carry and just before halftime Ukkelberg kicked a 22-yard field goal to increase the lead to 31-7.

Otter Tail Central scored once in each of the final two quarters.  Cody Seedorf scored on an eight-yard run and Ukkelberg added the last touchdown very early in the fourthth quarter on a 17 yard run.

The Bulldogs’ offense had another big night, totaling 408 yards and 23 first downs.

Ukkelberg finished with 123 yards on 12 carries and was 5-of-11 for 96 yards passing.  Seedorf rushed 17 times for 123 yards.

Seedorf led the OTC defense with 10 tackles and 4 assists.  Ukkelberg also grabbed one of the Bulldogs’ three interceptions.  Kolby Thalmann and Eric VanErp added interceptions, while Andrew VanErp had a fumble recovery.  Sam Naddy had a good game from his middle linebacker position with 6 tackles and 4 assists.
