|Where Is Everyone?|
|Where has everyone gone?|
I tell you what, life as a Minnesota sports fan isn't much fun anymore!
We have couple of college teams that are being watched at the national level and even though the Gophers football team choked one away against Michigan (and then lost to Michigan State), they are better and fun to watch!
The Vikings, under the no nonsense leadership of Mike Tice, are off to a great start.
The Twins just finished another great run and although they had no answer for the Yankees, it was a fun second half of the season.
And it certainly looks like the Timberwolves and Wild will be fine this year.
Where is the rebellion? Where is the disobedience? Where in the name of all that is Holy is something to fear, write about, curse, shake your head at, or just poke with a stick.
Where, oh where, is the never ending buffet line that Dennis Green used to snuggle with?
Where is Randy Moss' "bad boy" crap?
Where is the dissention? The anger?
Where is the remote?
Just over a year ago I predicted that the Twins would win a World Series. And I predicted that Randy Moss would kill someone's girl friend and be traded to Dallas.
But no, everyone's mission now is to make a liar out of me! Well fine. I can accept quality programs run by tough guys that will not tolerate the baby stuff we've had to put up with over the last couple of years.
Maybe I can enjoy some of it again.
But I warn you....I am running out of things to rail about.
I still have the Chicago Cubs fans that want to kill someone who touched a foul ball, while the moon was full, the curse of the goat was in place and the ropes of a huge Cubbie Choke were securely in place.
And I will always have NASCAR. These guys drive like hell for three hours trying to run each other over, then use every finger on their right hand to display their anger and disbelief when they are bumped out of the way.
And next week they start again.
