The Sebeka and Bertha-Hewitt volleyball teams will be hosting a "Pink Out" on Tuesday, October 19 during their volleyball match in Bertha.
"The goal is to fill the gym with pink and raise money for breast cancer awareness," said Sebeka head coach Becca Pulju.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The teams will be selling pink t-shirts prior to the match for $8.00. If a fan wears this t-shirt to the match, they get in to the match for free.
The athletes will be wearing pink socks, warm up shirts, shoelaces and head bands for the match. They will also be throwing out autographed, pink mini-volleyballs to fans.
Salon Renew will be selling hair swatches that have been dyed pink and all proceeds will go to the cause.
The teams will also be accepting donations to benefit breast cancer awareness. Some local organizations that have already donated include the Bertha-Hewitt baseball team, the Bertha-Hewitt National Honor Society and the Sebeka Student Council.
"The match is being played in honor and memory of those affected by breast cancer," Pulju added.
